Bruce A. Blomstrom, President

Director Emeritus, Pasadena Angels

Mr. Blomstrom has extensive working knowledge of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He is currently President of the Pasadena Bioscience Collaborative, an incubator for early stage life science companies and a member of the Board of Directors of the Pasadena Angels, investors in early stage companies. Mr. Blomstrom is also an advisor to Infinite Biomedical Technologies, a medical device company and to MedRule, an enterprise software firm servicing providers and medical groups. He was the first Chairman of Nanostream, a manufacturer of microfluidic drug discovery instruments and director of Chemokine, a biotechnology company developing chemokine and cytokine based drugs. Mr. Blomstrom is also a Director of the Southern California Biomedical Council.

Previous positions include: President NMC Homecare, a division of Fresenius Medical Care; President and CEO CliniShare Inc., a division of UniHealth; President and CEO Guardian Products, a division of Sunrise Medical Inc; Vice President Whittaker Corp.; Senior Vice President of Alpha Therapeutics; several executive positions at Abbott Laboratories including Director of Corporate Planning, Executive Managing Director, Nippon Abbott Japan and General Manager South Africa; Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Uganda, East Africa.

Mr. Blomstrom is a Trustee of the Pacific Asia Museum , a Director of the Pasadena Symphony, and a member of the Pacific Council on International Affairs. He is also active in several MIT alumni organizations. He has B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
